Infertility/ Sub fertility Issues
Infertility or subfertility issues can arise from many causes, both from the male and female.
Male fertility issues
Male fertility issues are sometimes encountered. These can stem from hormonal issues, orthopedic issues like back or hip illness, prostatic disease or testicular disease/sperm production abnormalities. A good physical exam followed by a semen analysis and blood work is where our investigation into the problem begins. Further testing is available, if needed, such as cultures, ultrasonography or radiographs. If low sperm counts are encountered, some hormonal therapy such as prostaglandin or GnRH may be tried as well as a nutritional supplement CF Plus. Please feel free to contact us for any advise.
Female fertility issues
Female fertility issues can also arise, and although these can be a bit more challenging the approach the problem is essentially the same. Investigation starts with a good physical exam and history, blood work for hormonal and metabolic problems. Examination of the reproductive tract uses endoscopy and/or ultrasonography. I loss of pregnancy has occurred, examination of fetuses is crucial to an accurate diagnosis. Again, please contact us with any questions
